YOUR FORMAL INVITATIONS
Your formal invitations should include all the details of your ceremony and
reception. You should start with who is hosting your wedding, so parents,
usually both sets or just you but use your full names.
Mr and Mrs Smith and Mr and Mrs Jones formally invite you to the wedding
of Bride and Grooms full names.
Followed by the ceremony details, location and time and then the reception
details.Do include dress attire and the full address of your wedding location.
OTHER STATIONERY TO INCLUDE WITH YOUR WEDDING INVITATIONS
Do include an RSVP card with an addressed and a stamped envelope ensuring
you make it easy for your guests to mail these back to you or your parents.
Your RSVP should state clearly the name of the guests invited, how many and
if you have a food choice include this so they can tick their option.
For example this could be a meat, fish or vegetarian option.
Now with Google maps these aren't often included but some other fun ideas
would be to include a card with a music choice, or a quote about you as a
couple, these are all ideas you could collate for your wedding and use later.
You can also put this on your wedding website.
ON THE DAY STATIONERY
Don't forget you will need stationery for your wedding day.
Order of ceremony booklet or cards.
A table seating plan
Table names or numbers, one for each table to help guests when they are being
seated.
Individual place cards to mark each guests place setting.
Some venues and caterers may include menu cards or you may wish to create
your own to match your wedding stationery.
If you don't want to have the extra cost of menu cards consider a large menu
printed or handwritten and placed by the dinner area. There are so many
creative ideas to display your menu at your wedding.
OTHER STATIONERY YOU MAY WISH TO CONSIDER
Favour tags or stickers, if you are presenting each guest with a favour do get
creative with ideas, stickers for favour boxes or tie on tags personalised with
your names and wedding date.
You might wish to include a personal message such as Thank you for sharing
our special day.
THANK YOU CARDS
Generally thank you cards should be sent out about 2 to 3 weeks after your
wedding with your guests name, an appreciation of the particular gift they gave
you and if you can include a photo then do.
A tip is to get a photo done at your wedding holding up a Thank You sign
or banner and use this later to send out to your guests too.
BRIDAL SHOWERS-BACHELOR PARTIES AND REHEARSAL DINNERS
Here are just a few more examples where you may need to create wedding
stationery depending on how formal your events are.
If you are hosting a bridal shower or bachelor party and are being presented
with gifts it is also polite to send out thank you cards for these events as well.
